THE YOUNG PEOPLE'S CAMPAIGN

What’s at stake? Our freedom and our future.

Democracy is not self-sustaining and it demands the active participation of the people it was built to serve. As the generation that will live longest with the consequences of today’s choices, it is our responsibility to protect and advance what is ours.

The Young People’s Campaign is a direct call to action for young people who understand what is at stake and are ready to do their part.

Across five weeks we are helping young people understand how political power works, turning that understanding into real civic action before November 3rd, and building a community of civic leaders who stay engaged long after the votes are counted.

Democracy works when we do.

GET OUT
THE VOTE!

01

Verify your voter registration.

Confirm your status, address, and party affiliation so there are no surprises at the polls.

02

Know your voting rights.

You have federal and state protections at the polls. Understand what is legally allowed so you can confidently advocate for yourself.

03

Locate your polling place.

Polling locations frequently change between presidential and midterm years. Find exactly where you need to go to cast your ballot.

04

Rally your peers.

Midterm turnout relies on community mobilization. Use your platform and voice to make sure your friends and family are ready to vote.

Midterm elections historically see a massive drop in voter turnout compared to presidential years.

Because fewer people show up to the polls, the people who do vote hold disproportionate power over the policies that shape the next two years.

The officials who impact your daily life the most aren't usually the ones running for president.

Midterms decide your governor, state legislators, mayors, and school boards. These are the leaders who directly control local schools, transit, and community budgets.

Gen Z and Millennials now make up nearly half of the eligible voting electorate in the United States.

We have the sheer numbers to dictate the political agenda. When young voters turn out at high rates, the entire system has to shift to address our priorities.

Midterm and local elections are frequently decided by incredibly razor-thin margins.

In many district races, the difference between winning and losing comes down to just a few hundred, or even dozens, of votes. Your single ballot carries a lot of statistical weight.

Voter registration laws, deadlines, and polling locations frequently shift between election cycles.

Never assume you are ready to vote just because you voted last time. Checking your registration early is the best defense against administrative errors and disenfranchisement.
